Walker Township is located in the north half of Township 19 North, Range 4 West and Township 20 North, Range 4 West (N 1/2 T19N, R4W and T20N, R4W). Section numbers (S) are given as a reference point only and are as found in the 1899 Atlas. In some cases, the buildings were moved or a new building constructed nearby which may have resulted in the school locating in a different section.
District No. 18 (S11, T20N, R4W) - Organized December 4, 1871.

District No. 40 (S11, T19N, R4W) - "Looking Glass" was formed and bounded about November 9, 1874.

District No. 57 (S7, T20N, R4W) - "Victory" was formed March 6, 1878.

District No. 61 (S30, T20N, R4W) - "Golden Rule" was formed October 21, 1878 from District No. 40.

District No. 65 (S7, T19N, R4W) - "Happy Hill" was formed June 24, 1880 from District No. 61.

Early teacher: Miss Ella Henke (1901/1902)

The District was dissolved June 16, 1970.


District No. 83 (S11, T19N, R4W) - On May 5, 1964 new District No. 83 was formed from District Nos. 27, 59, 62, and 68.

The school is still open.
