Henry F. Edmondson was George's great grandfather. He married in 1862, in Choctaw Nation, OK.  Then enlisted in the 1st Arkansas (Union) infantry.  Was promoted to 1st Lt and bandmaster of the regiment and served with them till the end of the war.  After the war they moved to Otoe County.
