Highland Methodist Cemetery

| Tombstone photos | Cemeteries | Nemaha Co. NEGenWeb |

Location: from traffic light in Auburn; 4.5 m. N, 1.6 m. E on northside of road (aka Highland Ridge Cem).

Suzzy Thomas wrote, "The Highland Methodist Church and Cemetery is located 4 1/2 north of Auburn and 1 1/2 miles east on the north side of the road.   When the Highland Methodist Church was abandoned, it was moved to the Fremont Jodry farm approximately 1/2 mile east and a little north of the original church location.  The farm was in the Jodry family for years and the old church still serves as a barn on that farmstead.  There were very few burials in the Methodist Cemetery, many more in the Baptist.

In the fall of 2005, Ed & Dori Chrisp took 70 photographs of the cemetery and tombstones.
