Mrs. LaVern Wolken was complimented by friends at a miscellaneous shower tendered by friends at the home of Mrs. Helen Fowler.

Honoring the birthdays of Libbie Sedlacek, Fred Severin and Otto Loseke, a group of friends and relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Severin and surprised them.

Judge Broady ruled case moot question and dismisses action

A commercial bank charter was issued today to the Bank of Leigh. State Banking Superintendent Ben Saunders took the step after the Leigh Cooperative Credit association withdrew its objection.

The wedding of Miss May Ann Philson of Leigh, and Lester Fisher, of Central City, took place in the Church of Holy Ghost in Omaha. The ring ceremony was used. Rev. Father H.P. Varanton officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Philson.
