NEMEC, MARY ROSE (ONDRACEK) [Mar. 31, 1891 - Sept. 7, 1930]
OMAHA WOMAN DIES BY GAS IN HOME
    The remains of Mrs. Edward Nemec of 713 Pine street, Omaha, were brought to Schuyler according to her written request, Tuesday evening, and funeral services conducted from the home of her sister, Mrs. John Machacek, Wednesday afternoon. Stanley Serpan, neighbor and counsel for Czechoslovakia in Omaha, in charge.
    Mrs. Nemec was found dead in her home, Sunday, the gas jets of the kitchen range open.
    Mary Rose Ondracek was born March 13, 1891, and spent the early part of her life in this city. She was united in marriage to Edward Nemec, May 5, 1919. The husband survives, also the following relatives: her mother, Mrs. Barbara Ondracek, four brothers Charles, Anton, Rudolph and Stanley of Schuyler, and John of Australia; two sisters Mrs. John Machacek of Schuyler, and Mrs. John Vichita of Czechoslovakia.
    Mr. and Mrs. Nemec had made their home in Omaha since their marriage eleven years ago. Sunday he spent a part of the day at Ak-Sar-Ben field, and upon returning home, detected the odor of gas. Entrance was forced and the lifeless body of Mrs. Nemec was found.
    A letter was found was indicated her desire to be buried in Schuyler her old home. The remains were interred in Schuyler cemetery.
