Hillar John Smith 1888-1955

Services Conducted May 5 at Omaha For Hillar Smith, 67

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 5, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Omaha for Hillar Smith, 67, a former Butler county resident who died May 3 at his home in Omaha after an Illness of about 10 days.  Rev. Anthony Powers, C.S.S.R. was the celebrant of the mass. Rev. R. Klyber, C.S.S.R., was the deacon and Rev. Clarence Reisdorff sub-deacon. Priests in the sanctuary were Msgr. John F. Ekeler, Msgr. Ferdinand Mock, Msgr. Daniel Cooper, Msgr. William Murphy, Rev. Anthony Egging, Rev. Raphael Chonta, Rev. James Hennessey, and Rev. McFayden.  Music was by the Holy Name choir with Mrs. Fred Rossbach, soloist . Pallbearers were Raymond Smith , Leo Smith, Peter J. Smith, Leonard Smith, John Meysenburg and Ben Reisdorff. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery 72nd and Center Sts., Omaha.  Mr. Smith was born April 10, 1888, at Octavia. He grew to manhood in Butler county and was married on Nov. 23, 1909, at Presentation Church near Bellwood.   In addition to his high school education, he attended Fremont Business College.   He lived in the Valley north of David City until 1946 following he occupation of farmer and livestock breeder. In 1946, he moved to Omaha where he became a special agent for the Bankers Life Insurance Co. of Nebraska.  Mr. Smith was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Te Deum International, Holy Name Society and the Holy Name Athletic Club.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Katherine A. Smith; five children, Eva M. Zimmerer of Avoco, Walter H. Smith of Plattsmouth, and Ida S. Smith, John F Smith and Rita A Sautter of Omaha; and brother, Jacob J. Smith of David City.

Walter Hillar Smith 1914-1974

Services Held For Marietta Area Native Judge Smith

Dist. Judge Walter H. Smith of Plattsmouth, 59, who died Friday in an Omaha hospital, was a native of the Marietta community in Butler County. He was the son of Mrs. Katherine Smith now living in Omaha, and the late Hillar Smith.  He attended Marietta High School, was graduated from Creighton University Law School and was Cass County Attorney from 1933 to 1950. Since 1965 he had been a District Judge in the area covering parts of Sarpy, Cass and Otoe Counties.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, six sons, two daughters, and three sisters.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning from St. John's Catholic Church in Plattsmouth.

Services held for Mrs. Christina Steiner, 78.

Mrs. Christina Steiner, 78, resident of Bellwood died at the David City Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 7 following an illness of six months.  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 19 in the Methodist Church at Bellwood. The Rev. Melvin Cammack was in charge.  Mrs. Robert Bell organist accompanied Audrey Kreizinger, vocalist.   Serving as pallberaers were Frank Zinwer, Joe Nicolas, Cecil Hall, Fred Langhorst, George Cady and Frank Markus. Burial was at the Bellwood cemetery.  Mrs. Steiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Patton was born in New York on Nov. 8, 1883.  On Feb. 4, 1915 she was married to Frank Steiner in Pasadena, Calif.  Mr. and Mrs. Steiner moved to the Bellwood community 15 years ago and she continued to make her home there following the death of her husband in 1946.  She is survived by one brother, Tom Patton of Hudson, N. Y.  Her parents, husband and one brother preceded her in death.

Services Held In Columbus For Edward J. Steiner

Funeral services for Edward John Steiner, 57, were held Tuesday, Aug 24, at St. Anthony's Church in Columbus, Father Laurin Buzynski officiated.  Mr. Steiner died Saturday, Aug. 21, in Behen Memorial Hospital Burial was in St Bonaventure's Catholic Cemetery.  The son of Nicholas and Mary Steiner, he was born Aug.28, 1918, at Bellwood and attended school at Marietta. On Feb.17, 1942, he married Rita Jacobs.   He was a veteran of World War II and served with the 183rd Infantry from 1942-46. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and coached little league baseball. In 1953 they moved to Columbus where Mr. Steiner was employed by Behlen Manufacturing Co.   Survivors include his wife; six children, Mrs. Henry (Gayle) Buss of Pawnee City, John, Michael, David, Daniel and Donna all of Columbus; five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Helena Semin of Bellwood.  He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and two brothers, Lawrence and Leonard Steiner.

Francis Steiner 1910-2000
Francis Henry Steiner, 89, of David City died Sunday, Aug 13, 2000, at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.  Mr. Steiner was born Sept. 5, 1910, at Bellwood to Frank and Margaret (Beringer) Steiner. He attended Marietta School of rural Bellwood.  He married Grace C. Birkel April 12, 1937, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City He was a farmer and also employed at the David City Coop.  He lived at Bellwood and David City.  He was a member of Mary's Catholic Church and served on the church board.  He was a volunteer at St Joseph's Villa in David City.  Survivors include one daughter, Barbara J. O'Connell of Acton, Mass.; one son, Ronald M. of Lincoln, one daughter-law, Grace S. of Lincoln; one sister, Clara Loftus of Fullerton, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife 1994; parents; son-in law, John R. O'Connell in 1985, three sisters, Susie Eberly, Mary Bongers, and Dorothy Kudrna; and three brothers, Jake, Joseph and Walter.  Services were held Wednesday Aug. 16 at 10a.m. at Presentation Catholic Church (Marietta) of rural Bellwood with Monsignor Adrian Herbek officiating.  Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery of David City.   Arrangements were made by Knott Funeral Home of David City.

Frank L. Steiner 1870-1946

TAKEN TO NEW YORK FOR BURIAL

Bellwood, Nov. 22, Frank L Steiner, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 20 at his home here following an illness of three months. The body lay in state at a Columbus Funeral home until Friday, when it was sent to Hudson, N. Y., where funeral services were held in the Episcopal church with burial in Cedar Park cemetery.  He was born at Albany, N. Y., December 1, 1870 ,the son of Mr. arid Mrs. Peter Steiner. When a young boy he moved with his parents to Hudson, N.Y., where they resided, until 1877 when the family moved to Bellwood.  Aside from two years spent in Hudson again, he had spent the remainder of his life farming in this community.  His wife, the former Christina Patton, a New York girl, survives him, as does also one brother, Joseph Steiner of Bellwood. He was a member of the Episcopal church.  Mrs. Steiner accompanied the body to New York as did the brother and Mrs. Ellen Claybaugh of Columbus.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning from St. Mary's Catholic Church for Frank M. Steiner, 85, who died Sunday, March 31, at St. Joseph's Villa.  Burial was in Valley Luxemburg cemetery.

Services Held In Washington For Jacob A. Steiner (1902-1969)

A former Butler County resident, Jacob A. Steiner, 67, of Grand Coulee, Wash., died March 31 in Washington.  Funeral service were held Thursday, April 3 from the Chapel of the Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville Wash. with Father James Grant officiating. Burial was in the Ritzville Cemetery.  Mr. Steiner is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harold Clinesmith of Benge, Wash., four sisters, Mrs. Louis Bongers of Pullman, Wash., Mrs. Joe Kudrna of St. ,James, Mo., Mrs., Art Loftus of Fullerton, and Mrs. Rudy Eberly of David City; three brothers, Walter of Genoa, and Francis and Joe, both of David City; two grandchildren, Connie and Marvin Clinesmith.  He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge.

Funeral Saturday For Lawrence Steiner (1911-1958)

Lawrence Nicholas Steiner, 46, died at his home in David City on March 12 and funeral service were held at St. Mary's church at 9:30 on March 15, with Msgr. Lisko officiating. Music was by the church choir.  Pallbearers were. Leo Janicek, Peter J. Schmit, Art Homan, Ben Homan, Francis Steiner arid Joseph Steiner. Burial was at St. Mary's and St. Peter's cemetery Bel1wood.  Lawrence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Steiner, was born Nov. 13 at Bellwood.  He attended Marietta school.  He was married to Florine Pieters and five children were born to them.  Mr. Steiner was a painter by trade and worked at Columbus and David City.  Surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Mary Steiner of David City his wife, one daughter, Sharon and three sons, Kenneth, Bill and Bob, all of Portland, Ore., and a daughter, Mrs. Al. Filippuzzi of California; a sister, Mrs. Ray Semin, Bellwood, and a brother Ed Steiner of Columbus. Preceding him in death were his father and one brother, Leonard.  Attending the funeral from away were Kenneth Steiner of Portland, Ore., Mr. and Mrs. Al Sauser, Randolph and friends from Norfolk and Omaha and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steiner.

Margaret M. (Beringer) Steiner 1878-1941

Death Of Mrs. Frank Steiner

Margaret Beringer was born in Cascade, Iowa on July 2,1877 and passed away, Sunday, June 15 at 9:15 A. M.. following a long illness at Genoa, Nebraska.  She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Beringer. on Feb. 16, 1898 she was united in marriage to Frank Steiner at the St. Peter's Church of Bellwood.  In 1885, she came from Cascade, Iowa, to this vicinity. Besides her husband she leaves Susie Milburn and Francis Steiner of David City; Jacob Steiner of Bremerton, Washington; Mary Bongers of Kahlotus, Washington; Joseph Steiner of Bellwood; Dorothy Kudrna of Fremont; Walter Steiner of King City , California and Clara Steiner of Genoa. She also leaves three sisters and four brothers and fifteen grandchildren.  She made her home on a farm near Bellwood until four. years ago when they moved to Genoa. Mrs. Steiner was a devout member of the Catholic church and member of the Altar Society. Her mother; Mrs. Susanna Beringer, passed away thirteen years ago and her father, Jacob Beringer passed away three weeks ago. The body was at the Ray Milburn home before the burial.  Funeral services were held from St. Mary's Catholic church at Luxemburg, Bellwood at 9:10 A. M. on June 18, 1941. Father Mock of Beatrice conducted the services and mass was served by Donald and Eugene Schmit, George Homan, Kenneth Schmit and Henry Meysenburg. St. Mary's choir furnished the music.  Pallbearers were the nephews: Benny and Arthur Homan, Matt Besch, Edward Steiner, Pete and Leo Schmit.  Those in attendance from elsewhere were Walter Steiner of King City, California; Mary Bongers of Kahlotus, Washington and Dorothy Kudrna of Fremont, Nebraska.  Burial was in the Luxemburg Catholic cemetery on the valley.

Joseph Nicholas Steiner 1907-1992

Services for Joseph N. Steiner, David City, were conducted Monday morning, May 18, from St. Mary's Church, David City. Mr. Steiner, 84, died Saturday morning, May 16, following a lingering illness.  Msgr. Herbek celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial. Pallbearers were Mike Dufoe, Eric Dufoe, Jeffrey Dufoe, Brett Dufoe, Kent Kovar and Keith Beringer. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Joseph N. Steiner, the son of Frank and Margaret (Beringer) Steiner, was born Sept.26, 1907 at Bellwood.   On Aug.24, 1932 he was united in marriage to Leonora Hilger. Five children were born to this union.  He was a farmer and painter until his retirement.  He was a member of the Catholic Church.  Survivors include his wife, Leonora of David City, five daughters Catherine Daniel of Bellwood, Shirley Turnbaugh of Pennsylvania, JoAnn Kovar of Grand Island, Donna Cranston of New York and Sharon Bartlett of Columbus; two brothers, Francis of David City and Walter of Genoa; three sisters, Mary Bongers of Washington, Dorothy Kudrna of Missouri and Clara of Fullerton; 16 grandchildren and 18 great -grandchildren.  His parents; two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Joseph V. Steiner 1872-1966

Joseph V. Steiner, 93, Funeral Services Held Wednesday of Bellwood

Funeral Services were held Wednesday afternoon, May 25, at the Bellwood Methodist church for Joseph V. Steiner, 93, who died Monday May 23, at Morey's Haven Columbus, where he had been residing since June, 1964.  Officiating was the Rev. Lloyd V. Mohnkern. Audrey Kreizinger, vocalist, was accompanied by Mrs. Robert Bell, organist.   Pallbearers were Rudolph Schmid, George Cady, Louis Mick, Frank Markus, Frank Zimmer, and George Nicolas. Burial was in the Bellwood Cemetery.  Joseph V Steiner, the son of Peter and Catherine (Patton) Steiner, was born Aug. 9, 1872, at Hudson N Y.   A. retired farmer, Mr. Steiner was a member of the Bellwood Methodist Church.   There are no immediate survivors. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Frank.

Lena (Kramer) Steiner 1841-1913

Mrs. Nick Steiner

Mrs. Lena (Kramer) Steiner was born January 11, 1841, in Lintgen, Mersch County, Luxemburg, Europe. She came to America in 1866 and settled in Cascade, Iowa. She was married to Nick Steiner by Rev. Father Linch, on June 4, 1866. They came to Butler County, Nebraska in November 1871 and settled on a homestead in the fertile Platte valley.   She died June 7, 1913, at the ripe old age of 72 years, 4 months and 26 days. She leaves a husband, eight children and two brothers to mourn her death. All were present at the death and funeral except one brother of Cascade, Iowa. She had 49 grandchildren and two and two great-grandchildren.  She was the mother of ten children, two dying in infancy.  Funeral services took place in St. Mary's Church, June 9th. Father Caraher officiating and the body was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery.  Mrs. Steiner was a woman of sterling character, a true wife and a very loving mother. Her family was always her first consideration and no sacrifice was too great for her to make for their benefit. Her influence was always with then and she has left to them an heritage that none other could. She has left with them a memory that will ever be dear to them and an example that they may well be glad to follow. She was a consistent member of the Catholic Church, always doing her duty as she saw it.  Those present from a distance were: John Kramer, Walker, Iowa; John Kramer, a nephew, Cascade, Iowa; Dr. N. F. Steiner, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Medinger and Mrs. John Colling, Creighton, Neb. Mrs. Nick Colling, Randolph, Neb.; John Steiner, Octavia; Mrs. Nick Schmit, F. M. Steiner, N. M. Steiner and Mrs. Benj. Homan of Bellwood.

Mary Catherine (Sand) Steiner 1884-1962

Services Conducted for Mrs. Mary Steiner, 78

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, May 23, at St Mary's Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary Steiner, 78, who died at the David City Hospital on May 20 following an illness of about a year.  The Rev. Kenneth Steiner, a grandson, officiated at the services. Music was provided by St. Mary's choir. Members of the Altar Society attended the services in a body.  Serving as pallbearers were six nephews: Joseph and Francis Steiner, Ben Homan, Sr., Peter Schmit and Leo and Edward Sand.  Burial was in St. Peter's and St. Mary's cemetery at Bellwood.  Mary Catherine Steiner, daughter of John and Margaret (Kramer) Sand was born April 2, 1884 at Walker, Iowa. She attended school in Iowa.   On Jan. 12, 1910, she was married to Nicholas M. Steiner at Spencer Grove, Iowa. After her marriage she came to Butler County and resided in the Bellwood vicinity for about 35 and then moved to David City to make her home. She was a member of the Catholic Church and the P. C. C. W.  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Helen) Semin of Bellwood; one son, Edward Steiner of Columbus; a brother, Clarence A. Sand of San Mateo, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. L. M. Faber, Sask., Canada, 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Laurence and Leonard; and one grandchild.

Death of Dr. N. F. Steiner (1872-1920)

The death of Dr. N. F. Steiner occurred in Omaha Friday, December 31. His was 48 years 5 months and 28 days.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Steiner of Bellwood, and made his home in Bellwood until about 20 years ago. Since then he located in Omaha as a doctor of medicine. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Stella Steiner and one daughter, Dorothy.   The funeral services were held in the Luxemburg church Monday morning, Father Hoffman officiating. The pall bearers were Messrs Jake Demuth, Nick Demuth, Neal Morbach, John Meysenburg, Frank Steiner and John Sauser.  The remains were laid to rest in the Luxemburg cemetery.

DEATH OF NICHOLAS STEINER (1841-1922)

Early Settler of Butler County Died in Columbus, November 8.  Nicholas Steiner resident of Butler county on a farm near Bellwood for 51 years, died in St. Mary's hospital in Columbus early Wednesday morning, Nov. 8 following illness of seven months with Bright's disease. He was nearly 82 years of age.  Mr. Steiner was born in Rollinger, Luxemburg, Europe. January 9, 1841.  As a young man he came to the United States and located at Cascade, Iowa, where he was married to Miss Leona Kramer June 4, 1866. They came to Butler county in 1871 and lived near Bellwood thereafter. Mrs. Steiner died June 7, 1913.  Mr. Steiner had been a lifelong member of the Catholic church.   Surviving Mr. Steiner are five daughters and three sons. They are John Steiner of Clear Lake, Minn., Mrs. Nick Medinger of Kimball, Mrs. Annie Colling of Bushnell, Mrs. Margaret Colling of Randolph and Mrs. N. A. Schmit, Mrs. Ben Homan, F. M. Steiner and N. M. Steiner of Bellwood, also 55 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Two children died in infancy. All of Mr. Steiner's brothers and cousins preceded him in death.   Funeral services were held in St. Mary's church on the valley at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10 and were conducted by Rev Fathers Mock, Reddy and Cadek.  Singing was by St Mary's choir. Six grandsons of Mr. Steiner, John, Leo, Peter and George Schmit and Jake and Joseph Steiner were pallbearers. Burial was in St Mary's cemetery.  All of the Steiner children, except John, were present at the funeral, as were three nieces and three nephews of Mr. Steiner, namely, Mrs. John San, Mrs. Charles Zeiser and Mrs. Frank Kramer of Walker, Iowa, John Strang of Independence, Iowa and Joe Strang and John Kramer of Cascade, Iowa.

George Kodelka officiating, Calvary.  Family requests no flowers.

Mrs. Joe Straka, 60, died Monday.  Born at David City, Neb., she had lived in Lincoln 18 years. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Cathedral.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hodgman-Splain chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral, Rev. George Kodelka, officiating.  Burial will be at Calvary.
Mrs. Straka is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Meysenburg, David City; Mrs. May Nicholas, Columbus.  Six brothers, Jacob Demuth, Nick Demuth, Hiller Demuth, Mike Demuth, and John Demuth, all of David City; and Pete, Omaha.

Annora Margaret Stump 1917-1990

Mrs. Leonard (Annora Margaret) Phillips, 73. of David City, died December 18 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo. Services were conducted Saturday, Dec.22, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Springfield with Father Tom Kiefer officiating.   Wanda Smith was organist and Dan and Zita Hook were vocalists. Pallbearers were Tim Bullard, Mike Phillips, Ken Schmit, Bob Hayes, Mike Lamkin, Dan Hook, Bull Brussett and Jim Bel. Burial was in the Marshfield Cemetery, Marshfield, Mo.  Annora, the daughter of Scott Stump and Mary Ellen Murphy, was born August 14, 1917 in San Juan, Texas. She graduated from high school. On January 4, 1944 she was married to Leonard Phillips. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, David City.  Survivors include her husband, Leonard of David City; three sons, Terrence of Yutan, Leon of David City, and Edward of Lincoln: two daughters, Mrs. John (Mary Ann) Bullard of Niangua, Mo., and Mrs. Randy (Margaret) Hiemer of Lincoln; a brother, Pat Stump of Fremont and one sister, Dolores Lee of Byron, Texas and 12 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gene and Bob Stump of EIsa, Texas.

Everett A. Supancheck 1902-1982

Funeral services for Evert A. Supancheck, A longtime David City businessman, were con Wednesday morning, St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mr. Supancheck, 80, died Sunday, after being stricken at his place of business.  Msgr. A. J Lisko celebrated the Mass Of Resurrection. Mrs. Ray Vanis was the organist. Pallbearers were Harold Phillips, Eugene Phillips, William Eller, Paul Peters, LeRoy Abel and Leonard Pernicek. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Relatives and friends from San Jose, Calif., Gulf Breeze, Fla., Cabot, Ark., Vermillion, S.D., Omaha, North Platte, Lincoln, Clarks, Columbus, Cozad, and towns surrounding David City attended the services.  Evert A. Supancheck, the son of Peter A. and Mary (Phillips) Supancheck, was born Sept. 19, 1902, at Lindsay. He attended St. Mary's Grade School.  In 1930 he was united in marriage to Viola Ternes at Albion. She died in 1933. On June 9, 1936, he was married to Edith Markitan at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bruno. Five children were born to this union.  He farmed in Kimball County from 1918 to 1934. He then returned to David City where he owned and operated "Stop Inn" Service which he himself built in 1936.  He developed an early interest in traveling which over the years led him on extensive tours of all the 48 states plus Cuba, Mexico and Canada.  He was a member of the Catholic Church.   He is survived by three sons, Dennis Supancheck of San Jose, Calif., Donald Supancheck of Omaha and Eugene Supancheck of David City; two daughters, Mrs. Pete (Leta Mae) Van Brussel of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Mrs. Wm. (Loreen) Wenzl of Cabot, Ark.; two brothers, Anthony of Long Beach, Calif., and Lawrence Supancheck of Sparks, Nev.; three sisters, Sister Verone Supancheck of Omaha, Loretta, Ericksen of North Platte and Doris Cavanaugh of Garden Grove, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Ed (Dunie) Hollingsworth, Jr., Robbie and Lori Supancheck, Melinda and Craig Wenzl, Jodi and Jenny Supancheck and Jason and David Supancheck.  He was preceded in death by his first wife in 1933; his second wife in 1979; his sister, Irene Hannappel in 1935; brother, Elmer, in 1942; and his mother in 1964; and his father in 1965.

Services Held Here For P. A. Supancheck (1878-1965)

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday morning March 30. from St. Mary's Catholic Church for Peter A. Supancheck. 87, who died Friday, March 26 at ?? , Seward Memorial hospital following an illness of about 10 days.  Officiating was Msgr. A. J. Lisko and members of the Knights of Columbus attended the services in a body. Pallbearers were Paul Meysenburg, Bernard Hilger and Wilfrid, Leonard, Eugene and Harold Phillips. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.  Among those coming from a distance to attend the services were relatives from Long Beach, Calif., Sparks, Nev., and Lincoln, North Platte, Omaha, Seward, Loma. Bellwood, Mason City, Schuyler, Clarks, Cozad and Ravenna.   Peter A. Supancheck, the son of Jacob and Anna Supancheck. was born Jan. 22, 1878, at El Paso, Ill. He was married Sept. 21, 1901 at Presentation Church Bellwood to Mary E. Phillips. Eight children were born to this union.  The family lived at Lindsay two years, at Leonard, Mo. two years, at Kimball 25 years, and the remainder of the time at David City. The past five months Mr. Supancheck had resided at Sunderman Nursing home in Seward.  Mr. Supancheck was a farmer by occupation. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a charter member of Tihen Council No. 1717, Knights of Columbus.   He is survived by three sons, Everett of David City, Anthony of Long Beach, Calif., and Lawrence of Sparks, Nev., three daughters, Sr. M., Matthew, O.S.F., our Lady of Angels Province, Omaha, Mrs. Ralph (Loretta) Erickson of North Platte, and Mrs. Martin (Doris) Kavanaugh of Santa Clara, Calif.; 28 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Daugherty of Ft.Lauderdale, Fla.  His wife, one son, Elmer, and one daughter, Irene Hannapp1e, one brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

Harry was born in Ulysses, Neb. He worked for Mobil for 35 years. Harry is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons, Paul and Michael; and daughter, JoAnn. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Beaverton, Oregon. Arrangements by Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel.
