Funeral Services For Mrs. Marcella Cook Held At Bellwood.

Mrs. Marcella Cook, 47, of Columbus, died Friday, Aug. 24, at St. Mary's Hospital in Columbus following surgery.  Funeral services were conducted Monday morning, Aug.27, from St. Peters Catholic Church at Bellwood with burial in St.: Peter's cemetery near Bellwood.  Pallbearers were Delbert Sorge, Don Sterup Loran Schmit, Lee, Ken, Harold Schmit and George Nicolas.  Marcella Meister the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C J Meister, born Sept 22, 1914 at St. Cloud, Minnesota.  She was married to Verne Cook at Bellwood on February 24, 1936 and one son, Leo, was born to this union. They lived near Rising City until the death of Mr. Cook in 1957.  In addition to her son, Leo, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. C. J. Meister of Columbus, a granddaughter four brothers, Lawrence and Paul Meister of Osceola, Marion Meister of Rising City, and Jerome Meister of Bellwood, four sisters, Mrs. Joe Havlena and Mrs. Leonard Pelan of David City, Mrs. Clarence Krafka of Bellwood and Mrs. Lyle Ernst of Columbus. Preceding her in death were her husband, her father, C. J. Meister, and two brothers, Cyril and Conrad Meister, Jr.

COUFAL, Tillie, age 102, Houston, died Saturday (7/19/2003). Born in Butler County. Survivors: sister, Sr. Christine, Wichita, Kan.; nephews; nieces; numerous great-grandchildren.  Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Mary's Church, David City. Church cemetery. Visitation: noon-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Knott Funeral Home, David City. Wake: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, funeral home. Source: Lincoln [NE] Journal Star 7-21-2003 Robert R. Moran, age 76; Born 29 Nov 1926, David City, NE.  Parents: John P. & Hazel R. Moran; 1944 grad. David City HS.  1951 grad UN College of Law. 1947: Married.  1951: Moved to Box Butte County, NE. Was Box Butte County attorney (1952-57); District Judge 16th Judicial District (1966-92).   Member of several organizations; served in assorted capacities. Died Friday, 11 Jul 2003, Alliance, Box Butte, NE. Survived by wife & 8 children.   Predeceased by his parents, an infant son, 2 brothers (John & Richard). Memorial service: Monday 14 Jul at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Alliance NE. Bates-Gould Funeral Home in charge.  Body donated to Creighton University for medical research.
