TILLMAN

TILLMAN I am seeking the maiden name, marriage date and other family information for Elizabeth Tillman (1848-after 1910), wife of Francis or Frank TILLMAN (1842-after 1910). Their oldest son, William, was born Oct. 1877, probably in Osage County, Mo. Francis Tillman was born Dec. 1842 in Germany, the son of Antoine TILLMAN (c.1806-c.1859) and Anna M. (maiden name unknown) (c.1806-18??). Antoine and his family immigrated to the United States about 1846, apparently coming directly to Osage County. Antoine was naturalized in 1852 and died about 1859. Frank was a farmer. He apparently turned his farm over to his oldest son, William, as Frank and Elizabeth are listed in William's household in the 1910 census for Osage County, along with their youngest son, Frank, my grandfather. This Tillman family is not found in the 1920 census for Osage County. 28 Feb. 1997 Karl Seitz kseitz@earthlink.net
