GASKILL c1825 in OH. Searching an old chest, I discovered a letter written to my
Gr Grandfather Aaron LEWIS dtd Feb. 18, 1917 stating the following in the
letter: "Oh yes, I got with Gaskill & Carroll at Atlanta..." I checked on the
name Carroll and found the following in the IGI: Eleanor LEWIS, 16 Nov 1792
Father Levi LEWIS , Prince Geoges, Maryland Mother Sarah CARROLL. Have other
clues indicating my LEWIS family may be related to this family. Sincerely

Looking for information on Rebecca TANNEHILL b. 4 Dec 1751, dau of William and
Sarah TANNEHILL of Eastern Shore (MD?). On 2 Jan 1787 she m. Walter BEALL son of
Col. Samuel BEALL Jr. and wife Eleanor [BROOKE] BEALL of Prince George's Co MD.
Later that year Walter and Rebecca moved to Bardstown KY with five children from
Walter's first wife (who d. 1785, the same year as the birth of the two youngest
children, twins). Rebecca and Walter BEALL had two children: Sarah BEALL b. 1788
(burned to death) and Samuel Tannehill BEALL b. 1789 Bardstown KY who in 1812 m.
Sally Rector. Sally and Samuel T. BEALL migrated to Little Rock AR in 1840 with
five children and both parents died soon after arriving. Any information on

I am looking for information on my ancestor Daniel
SANSBURY. He settled in SC, first appearing in Charleston, SC in about 1780. But
I believe that he came from Maryland (there are a number of SANSBURYs in
Maryland). He was born about 1750. He m. Mary and had these children: John,
William, Daniel, James, Absalom, Ann, Elias, Elizabeth and Mary. There was a
William SANSBURY in Prince George Co., Maryland in the early 1700s, and I wonder
if there might not be some connection. Any leads would be very much appreciated.

Looking for
information on Daniel SANSBURY (b. about 1750) He settled in Darlington Co., SC
after the Rev. War, but I believe that he might have been one of the Marylanders
who had "gone to Carolina." There are a number of SANSBURYs in Maryland -- in
Prince George, Frederick, Calvert and Talbot counties -- and I expect that there
is a connection between them and my Daniel SANSBURY. Daniel m. Mary and had
these children: John, William, Daniel, James, Absalom, Ann, Elias, Elizabeth and

census for Prince George Co. Md. Walter Watson was listed with 2 sons over 16,
his wife and four females. He was also listed as a Revolutionary War Soldier. He
was my 5th great-grandfather. His grandson also named Walter(my 3rd

CROZIER; Searching for
family of Elizabeth CROZIER (CROSIER?), b.1784, somewhere in Maryland. I once
thought this name originated in France, but recently have been told is Irish. I
can find CROZIER names in Maryland in the late 1700s, but I cannot find
connections to my Elizabeth. I am certain she migrated to Eastern Ohio by 1803,

in the 1810-1820 census of Armstrong County, Pa. some say they were born in PA ,

to Ann PERRY Prince George's County, moved to to Wayne County, NC. I have wills
and all of the entire family through 1825. James' children were: David, Jesse,

The boys were all in NC from 1769 until death. One of James' children or

looking for information on James H. BEALL. I am particularly interested in the
names and data re: his Mother and Father. James was born in Montgomery Co. on
2-27-1829 and died in 1906. He was married 12-29-1856 to Elizabeth MORGAN. She

before 1581 in Devon England; His line in Maryland begins with Benjamin Rosier

Duddington Manor presently a part of Washington D.C.) is most likely Benjamin's

I am looking for any information about the Ogden family of
PG Co. They once owned the land that is now Westminister Estates. The farthest
back I can go is Isabella Ogden, listed in the Surratt district of PG Co. in the
1870 census records. He children were Leonard 18, George 16(my GGGrandfather),
Millard 14, James 6, William 5, and Elizabeth 2. All were born in MD. George
Ogden married a woman named Kate, and they had 11 or 12 children. George died in
1905, shortly after the last of his children were born. Among them were Walter
J., Millard C. W., Henrietta, Olive Alberta, Adelia, Patricia, Bridgette, and

I am seeking ANY information I can get on the family of Isaac MILNER, merchant
of London, England, Maryland, and Virginia from about 1670 to 1713. He was
married to Ann, who was probably Ann COPLEY the daughter of Lionel COPLEY,
british governer of Maryland who died in 1693. Isaac Milner traded heavily in
tobacco with a man named Peter PAGGON until his (Isaac's) death 12 August 1713.
Ann and Isaac MILNER had two sons: Isaac and Godfrey, whose wills were filed in
Maryland. Their mother Ann remarried to Thomas COLMORE and they tried to collect
all debts still owed to Isaac MILNER. I am looking for MILNERS in Harford and
Baltimore Counties and I think they will "tie-in" to these MILNERS... If anyone

I am researching the RENDER
family name. I have been working on this for over 1 year and have considerable
information that I am willing to share. My own research has traced my line back
to Joshua RENDER in Maryland around the period 1720+, then to Kentucky through
1990 and on to Indiana. I have additional information on another part of this
line that migrated to Georgia. I have a copy of Pearl O. Smith's book "RENDER
AND THEIR RELATIVES" which confirms my own research. I also have information
sent to me by Father Pat RENDER of Springfield Il. on his family line. This
RENDER migration to the US involved the five sons of William and Ann RENDER who
emigrated from England (possibly via Ireland) to New York and then settled in
Sommerset County, New Jersey. Members of this line later moved on to the
midwest. The migration to the US occurred in 1849, at least 100+ years after
Joshua was reported in Virginia. I have just learned of a line possibly from
Germany or from a German speaking country that came over in 1849. A Charles
RENDER who married Mary and lived in NY or CT. I am also aware of the long line
of RENDERS in England dating back to 1300s when the name was probably spelled
RENDOUR, but I am unable to connect Joshua to the English RENDERS. I also have
information on the RENDERS in Ireland and Denmark. I have other RENDER names
which cannot be tied to any group of RENDERS. They include Thomas RENDER of
Boston, 1728 and his possible daughter Ann RENDER of Boston, 1749. John RENDER
is shown on page 17 of "HEADS OF FAMILIES, SOUTH CAROLINA, 1790" as a resident
of Claremont County, Camden District, South Carolina. I intend in the next year
to enter what I have on the computer probably using the Family Tree History
program. I am very interested in starting a dialog with anyone who wants to

Mulakin PHELPS was the son of Basil PHELPS and Priscilla REYNOLDS WHEAT, the
widow of Zachariah WHEAT. Zachariah's uncle John WHEAT was married to a Mary
MULLIKEN. Is this Mulakin/Mulliken name derived from the New Sweden Mullica
family ? Was Priscilla REYNOLDS part of the REYNOLDS/RUNNELS family, and named
her son Basil Mulakin PHELPS after her "Mulakin" ancestors? "Eric Palsson
MULLICA...Born in April 1636 in Mora, Delsbo parish, Halsingland, Sweden, Eric
PALSSON alias MULLICA had arrived in New Sweden with his parents on the Eagle in
1654. He married, by 1667, Ingeri, born c. 1646, who had arrived on the
Mercurius in 1656 with her father, Olof PHILIPSSON... from Letstigen,
Varmland... Eric and Ingeri MULLICA had eight children: Anna (born 1668), Anders

WELLS/SWANSON: Mr. Joseph WELLS
(son of Thomas WELLS and Francis SMITH) and Ms. Margaret SWANSON (daughter of
Francis SWANSON and Susannah PLUMMER) were married in All Hallows Church Anne
Arundel Co on 11 April 1721. The couple subsequently moved to Prince Georges Co.
John and Margaret were among the founders of the Monocacy Quaker Community.
Their son, Joseph WELLS, Jr. married Ms. Charity CARRINGTON in Loudon, VA. The
whole family emigrated to Orange Co, NC and were among the founders of Cane
Creek Monthly Meeting there. I have just started to research this line of my
family, and have found a lot of information (and disinformation). I would be
glad to share what I know of their descendents, and would appreciate any

any information concerning the PILES/PYLES of Maryland. I have been searching
the PYLE family from Pennsylvania for so long now and have "hit the wall" with
ggg-grandfather William born around 1775 in PA.? My present quest is to start
research on the Francis and Leonard PILE line in hope of finding a connection
there. I have reports of a William PILE landing in Baltimore around the year
1720, but the trail stops there. My gg-grandfather Robert PYLE was the

James REYNOLDS. Any information on Nancy Ann GRIFFITH's ancestors would be

My great grandmother was Luella HYATT
ROCK. Her father was Luther Lingen HYATT a son of Philip HYATT, son of Jesse,
son of Mesach, son of Seth, son of Charles HYATT and Sarah TEWKSBURY, son of
Charles HYATT and Mary PRESTON of Prince George's County, originally from
Frederick Co, Md. These HYATTs were the founders of Hyattstown and Hyattsville,
Md. They are more fully written up in a book entitled "Welsh, Hyatt and Kindred
Families" by Luther W. Welsh. I discovered this very valuable book in the
Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore several years ago. I think you can get
it or copies from other libraries. The author collected info on various
descendents of Charles HYATT over a period of several years in the 1800's.
Anyone interested in further info on these HYATT families can contact me.
I
AM also related to the BRASHEARS, but not as closely. My 6th great grandfather
Seth HYATT's daughter Ann married Thomas BRASHEARS. And later on, two of his
grandchildren married BRASHEARS. I don't have much on that surname, but a few of
my discovered cousins on the internet are quite interested in it. This HYATT

Prince George Co. MD in early 1700s. He died in 1726 there. One son, Jeremiah
STIMSON (unsure if he was born in England or Prince George Co.) Other children
possible. Jeremiah married Rachael (last name unknown). Jeremiah purchased land
in Prince George Co. on July 4, 1738. Child of Jeremiah was Erasmus STIMSON
(birth was recorded in the Rock Creek Church Parish, April 14, 1762). In 1770,

Researching the descendants of Griffith and Eleanor FORREST DAVIS. This couple
and their descendants lived in Prince George's, Frederick and later Montgomery
Counties when these counties were created. They had: Lodowick, Charles,
Griffith, John Forrest and Thomas DAVIS. These names ran in the family for
several generations. A descendant, Jeremiah DAVIS, and his wife Susannah
GARRETT, left Montgomery County and went to Kentucky with his uncle Thomas

RATLIFF/RATCLIFF line for some time in SW VA and have been able to trace it back
to Robert RATLIFF b. abt 1690 probably in Sussex, England and died abt 1738 in
Prince George's County, MD. His wife, Mary TOUCHSTONE, probably was from Cecil
County, MD. Their son, Ruben RATLIFF was b. abt 1732. From recent information
that I have received, it is believed that Mary's father was Richard TOUCHSTONE.
