Judith Ann (Williams) ESTELL, formerly Judith Ann Stewart, age 59 of Ocala, Florida, and formerly of Lebanon, Ohio, died Thursday, August 3, 2006. Judy was born December 22, 1946, in Seco, Kentucky, to Arville W. and Enola Potter Williams. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lana Kaye Melton. She is survived by her husband, David Estell; four sisters, Sandra (Woody) Hopkins of S. Lebanon, OH, Sherry (Milton) Seymore of Louisville, KY, Diana Marlene Burns of Maineville, OH, and Mia Williams of Lebanon, OH; three brothers, Darrell (Paula) Williams of Monroe, OH; Donald Williams of Lebanon, OH; and Arville Van (Jacqueline) Williams of Cincinnati, OH; one uncle and aunt, Marvin and Verna Mae Potter of Maineville, OH; many nieces and nephews and lots of friends. Judy was a hairdresser in Lebanon, Ohio, for 34 years, the last 13 of those years she was self employed owning her own salon until she was forced to retire due to her health. Judy loved children of all ages and they loved her. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Berea, Kentucky. Services were held at the Morrow Baptist Church on US 22-3 in Rochester, OH, on Saturday, August 12 at 1:00 pm, with burial following at Morrow Cemetery in Morrow, Ohio. Memorials requested to Hospice or your choice of charitable foundation.

HALCOMB, Daniel W., age 67, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 30, 1944, to Cyrel and Vesta (Lewis) Halcomb in Totz, Kentucky. Daniel was very loved and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Halcomb. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Freda Halcomb; children, Rachel (John Hoak) Miller, Matt (Chrisa), Jubal (Michelle), Callie (Tony McCown) and Tracy (Kory Byrd) Halcomb; grandchildren, Sean, Bridget, Carolyn, Brandon, Cameron, Lucas, Raelynn, Danielle, Jake, Jordyn, Courtney, Cameron D., Chelsey, Sarah, Mykal, Kory Jr., Chauncey and Laurie-Anna; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Amelia, Jalynne, Katelin, Owen, Braedon, Cohen and one more great-granddaughter; sisters, Nannie, Sherry Ann, Rosalee and Verlynn; brothers, Kenneth, Bobby and Wade; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Ruth Ison Howell, 89, New Castle, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Howell retired from the State Hospital after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Shriners, White Star of Jerusalem and Esther Shrine 14. She had resided in Henry County since 1949.
Born Oct. 30, 1919, in Letcher County, Ky., she was the daughter of John D. and Virgie Lee Gilley Ison, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Jackie D. Howell, Cadiz; six grandsons, Terry and Gary Greathouse and Tony, Troy, Jim and Jeff Howell; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne and Willie D. Ison, both of Freetown, and Gaye Ison, Columbus; and a sister, Deola (Elmo) Day, Whitesburg, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Howell; daughter, Angelina Greathouse; son, Kermit Eugene Howell; brothers, Bobby, Marion, Jack and Bill Ison; and sisters, Geniece Day and Ruby Frances.
The Rev. Gene Bennett will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, New Castle. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Behold bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion. The Lord is good and his mercy endureth from everlasting to everlasting. Praise ye the Lord and unto his name give praise. Malissie Ison the daughter of Bony and Martha Banks Ison was born December 4, 1891 and passed from this life on April 29, 1971 making her stay on earth 79 years 4 months and 25 days. Early in life she was married to George Ison and to this union were born 12 children. They remained faithful until death. George had gone on and six of the children so the time came that she had longed to see them. The time comes that we have a longing to go and to be with the Lord where it will all be peace and joy forever. She had a hard time as all of our parents did in these days but it kept them humble and thinking more about the Lord. It is through tribulations that worketh patience and patience a hope that of which we need not be ashamed. So with all the heartaches and trials that she might of had she turned to one that is always ready to come to our aid and help us. She called and He answered and heard her and forgave her of her sins and she became a member of the Whitco Freewill Baptist Church. Here she prayed-here she loved the Lord-here she no doubt prayed for her children--here we have her body that she lived in but the Real Sister Malissie is around the altar of God awaiting the redemption of the body. She had been in poor health for awhile but she had a longing to be with her children. She was a wonderful mother, a good neighbor a wonderful companion, a great child of od and with all of this and for all of this she now has become a citizen in the heavenly country of Peace and Joy. So sleep on Sister Malissie we will all look forward to seeing you in that Country and shaking you hand again. George Edward JENT, 65, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, at his residence. A native of Letcher County, he was a retired meter reader with Kentucky Utilities after 27 years of employment and was a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Norma DEAN JENT of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Peggy JENT ROSE and Barbara Diane WALKER, both of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Jimmy JENT of Cecilia and Watson JENT of Ohio City, Ohio; two sisters, Alice GRIMES of Cecilia and Nancy MOORE, both of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild. The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob HAMILTON officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation is 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the James Matthew Rose Escrow Account at Higgins Learning Center in Morganfield.

Thelma Collier KING, age 72, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on May 10, 2008, peacefully at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Whitesburg, KY, on February 12, 1936, the daughter of Courtney Collier and Rose (Alexander) Collier. Thelma retired from NCR after 30 years of service and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She lived in the Middletown/Franklin area, where she considered home, for nearly 60 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Bill King; daughters; Beverly (Gary) Parks of Franklin Township, OH and Crystal (John) Campbell of Madison Township, OH; three granddaughters, Amber Parks, Brooke Parks and Cameron Campbell; and great-grandchildren, Garrett, Jack, Peyton, and Julia; brother, Wendell Collier of Lake Milton, OH; and sisters, Faye Eldridge of Middletown, OH, Fern Banks of Baltimore, MD, Hester Caudill of Gilbert, AZ, Wanda Howard of Marysville, OH, Marlene Collins of Isom, KY and Phyllis Malkovich of Gilbert, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Courtney Jr., and Leslie and an infant son, Larry Douglas King. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, May 14, 2008, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery.

Estis "Luke" Lucas, 79, of 223 S. Sandusky St., Tiffin, died at 11 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
Estis was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Whitesburg, Ky., to the late Nahmon and Sadie (Stedim) Lucas. On July 31, 1954, he married Sylvania Halcomb and have enjoyed over 52 years together.
Other survivors include one son, Robert B. Lucas; brother, Elbert "Bud" Lucas; and a sister, Mae Miller both of Middletown. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His parents; three brothers, Earnest, Eli and Ed; two sons, Estis Junior and Donnie preceded him in death.
Estis retired from Webster Manufacturing Company in 1988 after 22 years of service. He was also a locksmith, owned and operated Lukes Lock Shop on South Sandusky Street for several years until his health began to fail him. He was a member for the Eighth Ave. Freewill Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed life and his family and friends very much.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2006, at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin with the Rev. Clifford Tyree officiating.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m -12 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Seneca Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

We mourn the loss of our precious, beloved mother, Ida Fuller POTTER, born June 27, 1912, Knott County, Kentucky, passed from this life July 1, 2007, Bayshore Hospital, Pasadena, Texas surrounded by her loved ones.
Ida Fuller Potter was the daughter of Leona Smith Hale Fuller Potter and Elijah Green Fuller who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Creed Flannery Potter, sons, Joel Martin Potter, Ralph Waldo Potter, Fred Potter, grandson, Trent Martin Potter, six brothers; William "Billy" Fuller, Elijah "Lige" Fuller, Elijah Green "G" Fuller, Delzie "B" Fuller, Robert Lee "Bobby" Fuller and Thomas "Tommy" Hale, five sisters; Ada Fuller Bowen, Iva Fuller Ritchie, Minnie Fuller McIntyre, Bessie Fuller Shotton and Arzella Hale Caudill.
Ida is survived by three daughters; Billie Joyce Jaynes of South Houston, Texas, Leona Carlene Potter Burkland and Annette Potter of Pasadena, Texas; four sons; Dan Morgan Potter and Archie Vincent Potter of Kentucky, Clark Douglas Potter and David Thomas Potter of Houston, Texas, 28 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 26 great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
The Potter family will receive friends and visitors on Monday, July 2, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Crespo Funeral Home ~ Broadway Chapel, Houston, Texas. The Celebration of LIfe will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.

Mattie (Cook) Hale SIEGER, dedicated wife, devoted mother and awesome grandma, beloved family member and a truly great friend to many, age 91, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
She was born April 8, 1915, in Whitesburg, Ky., the daughter of the late Ewins and Martha Cook. She is survived by her loving daughters, Mrs. Robert (Karla) McDermott of Bradner and Mrs. Gary (Kathy) Borton of Tiffin. Other survivors include: grandchildren, Angela Nyler, Michael Hunter, Levi McDermott, Ian Borton and Amber Borton; great-grandchildren, Ashley Nyler, Kody Nyler, Jared Nyler, Madelyne (Mattie) Nyler, Sameal McDermott, Levi McDermott, and Brooklyn Ranieri; plus one great-great-granddaughter, Maci Reza. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Leslie Cook, Lester Cook, Ester Cook and Mallie Whittle.
She was a proud Junior Home Kid and finished high school there. Following high school, she returned to Whitesburg, Ky., and married Everette Hale. They moved to Riverview, Mich., where she worked at Grosse lle Naval Base as a cook while her husband was serving in the Navy. After 18 years of marriage, her dream of children came true and she stayed home to concentrate on raising her girls. After the loss of her first husband Everette of 28 years in 1963, she returned to the Tiffin area to be closer to her family. She worked as a cook at the Seneca County Home and the Tiffin Elks Club. She married Jay Siegler in 1975 and they were married for almost 20 years before he passed away in 1995. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Tiffin. She loved all types of flowers and gardening. She enjoyed cooking big holiday meals and Sunday dinners for her family. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them silly songs, playing cards; helping her cook and letting them win at Old Maid. Most importantly, she was a generous, fun-loving person who enjoyed surprise visits and laughing with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, but she will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 1 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin where the funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2 with Pastor, Doug DeVos officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caregivers of the Autumnwood Care Center for their loving care. Memorial contributions may be made in Mattie's memory to First Christian Church, 2016 S. CR 19, Tiffin, OH 44883, or the organization of the donor's choice.

Alex Riley TYREE, son of Melvina and Garfield Tyree, was born August 9th, 1906, passed from this life at the Montgomery Nursing Home, Marrow, Ohio, May 17th, 1976, being 69 years, 9 months, and 8 days of age at his passing.
Alex has been sick for the past 18 months. He was a miner for 27 years, most of this time with the South-East Coal Co., and was a mechanist for awhile after he left the mines in 1948.
He was a member of the Plesant Grove Church of God, Midland, Ohio.
He was married to Mattie Ison, at U.Z., Ky., December 1928, she preceded him in death May 7, 1964.
He is survived by the following children: 3 daughters: Glenna Lewis of Marrow, Ohio, Eunice Weber of Pittsburg, Pa., and Lorraine Karns of Maryland, 5 sons: Harold Tyree of Tiffin, Ohio, Paul Tyree of Clinton, Tenn., Dean Tyree of Cincinnati, Ohio, Garry Tyree of New Carlisle, Ohio, Larry Tyree of Portsmouth, Ohio. Sister, Dixie Smith of Clyde, Ohio. Brother, Fred Tyree of Crown, Ky., 23 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends to morn his passing.
Funeral services for Alex Riley Tyree will be held at the Kingdom Come Regular Baptist Church, Premium, Kentucky, Wednesday, May 19, 1976 at 2:00 P.M. Pallbearers: Friends. Minister: Rev. Charles Ray WEBB, age 75, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Sunday, August 13, 2006, at UK Medical Center, in Lexington, Ky.
He was born November 7, 1930, in Whitesburg, Ky.; the son of Dora Craft and Creed Webb who preceded him in death.
He married Ellena Adams who preceded him in death.
He is survived by three children- Michael Ray Webb of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tana Newsome of Lexington, Ky., and Talena Skeens of Monticello, Ky.; five siblings- Burtis Webb of Whitesburg, Ky., Betty Potter-Simpson of Greenville, Tenn., Velda Bush of Louisville, Ky., Ramona Sue Back of Crestwood, Ky., and Sharon Collins of Lexington, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by one brother- Anthony Webb.
He was retired from Hobbs.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jim Savage officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
