NEWPORT
WILLIAM TALIAFERRO DEAD
The many friends of Mr. William Taliaferro will regret to learn
of his death yesterday morning at Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn. Mr. Taliaferro
was (unreadable) and has been for many years a conductor on the Central Railway
and was well known in this vicinity.
Deceased was a member of the (unreadable) Fraternity, being a Knight Temper Commandery No 7. He was also an Elk and the first member of (unreadable) KAEO to die. The cause of death was Brights disease.
His mother, who lives as an invalid in Florida, has been notified and intelligence by Undertake (unreadable). Mr. Taliaferro was a prime favorite of acquaintances and had a large circle of friends.

WM TALIAFERRO'S FUNERAL
The remains of William Taliaferro will be conveyed from Christ Hospital on Mt Auburn this morning to the Masonic Temple in Covington, where they will remain in state until Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, where they will be taken to St Paul's P E Church in this city, where services will be held.
The mother of the deceased, who is a present a resident of Florida, is unable on account of illness to make the journey here, but her daughter, Miss Anna, will arrive this morning.
The funeral is in charge of undertake Gus Meninger.
