RETURN OF A REBEL COLONEL TO NEWPORT-Colonel William Robinson, of the rebel army, who at the outbreak of the rebellion, was a Second Lieutenant in the Regular Army of the United States and stationed at the Newport Barracks, has returned from the South, and taken the amnesty oath offered by President Lincoln.

Colonel Robinson is the son-in-law of Major McRea.
