FALL IS FATAL
Funeral Thursday for Wilmer Bacon, Newport
Funeral arrangements were being completed Tuesday for Wilmer Bacon, 57 of 524 York-st, Newport, who was injured fatally a week ago when he fell at Sixth and York streets, Newport.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:20 p.m. from the Charles A Smith funeral chapel, 22 E. Fourth-st, Newport.
Bacon received an injured hip when he fell, but his condition was not believed to be serious. Complications set in, however, and he died Monday at Speer’s Hospital, Dayton. Two sisters, Mrs. R. H. Thornton and Miss Margaret Bacon, survive him.
