Joseph Hauck

Cincinnati Enquirer, 8 February 1917

NEWPORT

A contest of the will of Joseph Hauck, Dayton river man and bath house proprietor, was begun yesterday in Campbell County Court before Judge Edw Boltz. Hauck was drowned three weeks ago. He left a will bequeathing his entire estate to his wife, who died about three years ago.

Yesterday two nieces of his wife, Ida Keene and Mary Brooks, offered the will for probate. Objection was raised by brothers, sisters and other relatives of the testator, who contend a later will made after the death of his wife exists. Judge Boltz ordered a search of a safe deposit vault, but no trace of another will has been found.

Attorney John T Hodge was named curator until some disposition is made of the will.
