John Brown

NEWPORT
The will of John Brown was offered for probate in the County
Court yesterday but was continued from the fact that the subscribing witnesses
reside out of the county. Mr. Brown and his wife evidently were a loving couple
as the document is dated in the year 1850 and bequeaths all of his property to
his widow.
And what seems to illustrate the love is that there was no codicil attached. the relatives of the deceased or at least a few of this nieces and nephews seem to think that some undue influence was brought to bear on the testator and they will contest the will.
