William Frederick and Christina Uthe
William Frederick Uthe was born 27 June 1817 in Germany. He married Christina Ernestine Fisher, who was born 29 Nov 1814, in 1868, and they immigrated from the Bremen port arriving in Baltimore, Maryland, 6 Aug 1846 on the ship Rebecca. They settled in the Camp Springs district. He had a stone building built in 1873, which he called the Camp Springs House which still stands today. By 1860 the Uthe family was living in Alexandria and William was working as a blacksmith.

On 6 Feb 1857 Richard Southgate sold to William Uthe 20 acres from the Thompson Craig Patent of 900 acres. On 7 Nov 1864 George Rittinger & wife sold to William, 5 acres 86P & 14 acres 16P. In 1869 John Weber sold to William 14 acres 30P & roadway. In 1873 the Orth Brothers built Camp Springs House with 14 rooms with fruit, wine & 2 additional cellars of stone.
Christina Uthe died 29 Jan 1881 in Camp Springs and was buried in the St John Lutheran Church Cemetery. In 1900, William was a widow living in Cincinnati with his daughter Christina. William Frederick Uthe died in 1905 and was buried in the St John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Camp Springs.

W F Uthe's will leaves $500 to the children of his deceased daughter, Margaret to be divided equally among them. The rest of the estate is left to his daughter, Wilhelmina Tucker. Zachariah Tucker is executor without bond.

Wilhelmina Tucker and Zachariah Tucker, her husband, filed suit this morning in the Kenton Circuit Court against Christina Berhold and 32 others for the settlement of the estate of William Uthe. Plaintiffs ask that the matter be referred to Master Commissioner and that certain named property be sold and distribution made.
