RESIGNED-William Sampson of West Seventh Street, Newport, a collector on the Central Bridge, has resigned to accept the stewardship on the steamer Queen City. He will be succeeded by Robert Brown, brother of the late Frank Brown, who was shot and killed several weeks ago by Ben Phillips.
