William and Elizabeth Reiley

William Reiley was born 17 Oct 1786 in Washington County, Pennsylvania, the son of John Reiley who was a soldier in the Revolutionary War and Elizabeth McCullough; John and Elizabeth emigrated to Kentucky in 1789 landing at Limestone, now Maysville, but afterwards removed to Fayette County on the Elkhorn.
William Reiley was a mechanic and farmer and was for several years a member of the Legislature of Kentucky and was for some time, a magistrate in Campbell County and was intimately connected with the early history and subsequent prosperity and growth of that county.
William Reiley married Elizabeth Morin of
Culpepper County, Virginia, daughter of Edward Morin, also a soldier in the
Revolution and Elizabeth Jones and were some of the early pioneers of
Bourbon County. Elizabeth Morin was born 8 Mar 1789 and died 6 Sep 1878
and was buried in the Alexandria Cemetery. William Reiley died January 19, 1882
at Alexandria and was buried in the Alexandria Cemetery.
