Here is the Newport Ky. News way of announcing the result of a late deadly conflict in Campbell county;
WM PRITCHARD IS DEAD-This good man and kind neighbor (aside from foolish and ungarded expressions) has fallen by the act of a wreckless foe, more regardless of acts than expressions, who by attempting to protect the chastity of a larger field than the laws of his country had deligated to his charge, has become a murderer. The passion of unncessary excited folly on the part of both, has caused the shocking deed; and that too in the very face of one hanging by the neck for a similar wreckless act. Hard indeed must be the heart that would not aim to evade so terrible tragedy.
