William Ferdinand Krohn

William F Krohn, Spanish American War veteran, died Sunday at St Elizabeth Hospital. He was 63. Mr. Krohn lived at 836 Monmouth street, Newport. He was a former member of Esbergers band and a member of the Spanish American War veterans, the Robert Burns Lodge of Masons, Newport; Hanselman Commandery, Knights Templar of Cincinnati and the Syrian Temple of the Shrine.

He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Lena Wolters, Mrs. Emma Cross and Mrs. Minnie Kross, and six brothers, Frank, Otto, Henry, Emil, Ernst and Martin Krohn, all of Chicago. Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Fred Erschell Sons Funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Members of the Captain A M Wetherill Camp No 5, United Spanish War Veterans, Newport, will conduct funeral services at 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Krohn was past commander of the Wetherill Camp.
