The condition of Private William Chase, who was shot Sunday at Ft Thomas, was reported improved Wednesday, although not entirely out of danger. The post surgeon reports that he will recover providing blood poisoning does not set in.

The condition of William Chase who was shot at Ft Thomas continues to improve and it is believed that he will recover. No trace has been found of Oldfield, who is wanted for the shooting.
