LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF GEORGE KNAPPKER DECEASED

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN.

I, George Knappker, of Campbell County Kentucky, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and under no restraint whatever, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making null and void any and all other last Wills and Testaments by me made at any time heretofore.

Item 1; It is my Will and I hereby direct that all my just debts and the expense of my funeral shall be first paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.

Item 2; whereas on or about September 24th 1907 I purchased from Mary Rahe for a consideration of $1000.00 a tract of land containing 9 ¼ acres, with improvements thereon located in Pleasant Ridge, Campbell County, Kentucky and whereas by an agreement with my niece, Katie, daughter of my brother, Herman the title to said real estate was taken in the name of Abraham Prim husband of my said niece Katie, and the absolute ownership and title to said real estate to vest in my said niece Katie and her husband Abraham Prim at the time of my death, now therefore in order to confirm said agreement, and in consideration of my affection for my said niece and her husband, I do hereby give devise and bequeath said 9 ¼ acre tract of land, with the improvements thereon, located in Pleasant Ridge, Campbell County, Kentucky, and purchased from Mary Rahe as aforesaid, unto my said niece and her husband Abraham Prim to have and to hold the same to them and their heirs absolutely and forever in fee simple.

Item 3; Having loaned the husband of my niece, Anna, daughter of my brother, Herman, the sum of four hundred dollars, it is my Will and I hereby direct that said sum of $400.00  so borrowed as aforesaid may be left to my said niece Anna, and her husband as their full share in my estate.

Item 4; I give and bequeath to my niece, Lizzie daughter of my brother Herman, the sum of two hundred dollars.

Item 5; I give and bequeath to Sophia Rahe and Augusta Rahe, daughters of Mary Rahe, each the sum of two hundred dollars, this bequest being made to show my appreciation for the many kindnesses shown me.

Item 6; All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real personal or mixed , that I now own or may be entitled to at the time of my death, and where ever situated, I give devise and bequeath to Mary Rahe, widow of Henry Rahe of Campbell County, Kentucky, to have and to hold the same to her and her heirs, absolutely and forever my reason for giving the residue of my estate to Mary Rahe is that I have made my home with her and her family for the last thirty years and have always been treated as one of the family and have always been shown kindness and consideration and received attention and nursing during periods and indisposition at her hand.

Item 7; I nominate, constitute and appoint Mary Rahe, executrix of this my last Will and Testament and request the court not to require Bond from her as such executrix.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name this 25th day of September in the year 1907.

His X mark.

George Knappker

Signed by the said George Knappker, who at the same time published and declared the same as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other, and at his request have hereunto subscribed as witnesses.
