Know all men by these present that I Charles C Speers of the city
of Dayton in Campbell County, Kentucky, being of sound mind and disposing memory
but feeble in health and remembering the uncertainty of life, in order that my
wishes concerning my property shall be carried out after my death, I do herby
make publish and declare this instrument of writing to be my last Will and
Testament.
Item first: I direct that after my death, all my just debts shall be paid as soon as my executrix, shall be able to do so.
Item Second: I nominate my wife E L Speers as the executrix of this my last will and testament and that no security be required of her as she is my legatee & devisee, also that no appraisement or inventory of my estate be made, as everything will belong to my wife.
Item Third: I give, devise and bequeath all of my property both real and personal and mixed where so ever same may be situated to my said wife E L Speers in fee, simple to give, devise or bequeath as she may think proper, all I have to her absolutely without control from any source whatever.
Item Fourth: I authorize my said wife to give to my brother, Solomon K Speers the sum of two thousand dollars if she deems it best and to my nephew Charles A Speers the sum of two thousand dollars if she feels so disposed, but nothing herein contained shall authorize either if the said parties to demand the said amount against the wish of my said wife.
In testimony that this is my last Will and Testament I hereunto set my hand in the presence of the witnesses, who will subscribe below, this the first day of May 1884. Signed Charles C Speers
We the undersigned witness, certify that the above named Charles C Speers, did in our presence and the presence of each of us, on the first day of May 1884, sign his name as above and each of us at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other hereunto signed our names as witnesses to his signature to this paper where he declared is his last Will and Testament.

Last Will and Testament of Charles C Speers, Campbell County Court, Regular March Term, March 26th 1885, Hon. T P MaKibben Judge Present.
Came E L Speers nominated as Executrix of Charles C Speers in fee paper purporting to the last will and Testament of said Charles C Speers, and offered said papers for court. From the testimony it is found that the said Charles C Speers died in this county and State on the twentieth day of March 1885, came H E Mason, one of the subscribing witnesses to said papers, and who being duly said deposes and says that on the first day of May 1884 in the City of Dayton in Campbell County Kentucky, he saw the said Charles C Speers sign the above named paper, declaring the same to be his last will and Testament in the --- of affiant and the two other subscribing witnesses C McArthur, W R Taliaferro Jr. and that thereupon affiant at the request of said Charles C Speers signed said paper as a witness to the signature of the said Charles S Speers in the presence of each of the above named witnesses, and that each of said witnesses did thereupon at the request of said Charles C Speers and in his presence witness of affiant and the in the presence of each other put their names as appears on said paper, on said day as witnesses to the signature of said Charles S Speers and to said Charles C Speers was at said time of sound and disposing mind and memory.
And it appearing that W R Taliaferro Jr. and C McArthur, the two subscribing witnesses, as above set forth, are absent from this state and that the post office, address of W R Taliaferro Jr. unknown and that the Post office address of C McArthur is Jacksonville Duvall County Florida, it is ordered that the commission issue to take the deposition of said Charles McArthur as subscribing witness to said Will, any personalized by law to take his deposition in the case and in the matter of this probate, and for this purpose the original of said Charles C Speers as herein offered for probate and filed as part of these proceedings is hereby attached for the purpose of taking said deposition of said Charles McArthur a copy of said will is ordered to copied and filed in the Campbell County Clerk's office at Newport Ky. State of Kentucky.
I, Thomas Jones, clerk of the Campbell Court for the county aforesaid do hereby certify the foregoing is a true copy of the orders made at the March term 1885.
