Will Lathrop, who was the valedictorian of the class of 1898 of the Newport High School, and who recently returned from Trinidad, West Indies, was notified Saturday that he had been assigned to have charge of the Weather Bureau at Willemstad, Curacao off the coast of Venezuela.
