Alexandria Court House Will Book C, page 32, 2 April 1837
In the name of God Amen, I, Alice Berry, of the County of Campbell & State of
Kentucky, being sound in mind but weak in body and wishing to dispose of what
little property I have, doth make this my last Will & Testament.
First, I wish my son John W Berry to have my horse & two feather beds with such bed clothing as I have allotted to them, the beds being new or nearly so. Secondly, I leave and bequeath unto my two daughters, Alice Taliaferro & Lucy M Sandford my Carriage & Harness jointly between them to disposed of as they may think proper. Thirdly, I bequeath & leave unto my three daughters Sophia, Lucy & Mildred what household furniture I have with the balance of the beding to be equally divided between the three and my daughter Alice to divide with them in the bed clothing only.
Fourthly and lastly, I bequeath & leave unto my Son James T
Berry what money I have, debts due to me after he pays out of it all doctor's
bills & other expenses.

A writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of
Alice Berry, deceased, was proved by the oath of James Taylor, one of the
witnesses thereof, and the hand writing of N B Shaler, the other witness
thereof, proved by the oath of Jonathan N Taliaferro and Ordered to be recorded.
