The Kentucky Post, Tuesday, 26 January 1904, page 5

Mrs. Henry Klekamp, 78, the venerable wife of the well known contractor, died Tuesday morning at the home on Ninth Street, near Monroe, Newport. Death was due to old age. Deceased was a resident for many years and was beloved by all who knew her. She was the mother of Minnie Kleekamp and Mrs. Emma Jolly, (NOTE: this name is incorrect. the daughter was Charlotte) both of whom were killed by John Jolly several years ago. Jolly is now serving a life term in prison for the dastardly crime. He was sentenced to death at the first trial, but got a life sentence on the second trial.

When the murder occurred Jolly was estranged from this family and he called to see his wife, who was living with her parents. He was not in the house long before the shooting occurred.

A widower and a son William also survive her and they are well known citizens of Newport.
