Walter Eaton Nierstheimer

Kentucky Post, Monday, 10 August 1925, page 8

Walter Nierstheimer, 18 year old Newport boy, has just been wounded for the fifth time in fighting on the western front. The recent wound is classed as severe, his mother Daisy Nierstheimer, of 10th and Central av. Newport is advised.

Walter is a Marine. It was about a month ago that he wrote his mother about the fourth wound. He said then he was anxious to bet back into the trenches. He did recover, as the fact that he was wounded again attests, in time to face the enemy in the field during the recent fighting. It probably will be some time before Mrs. Nierstheimer learns fully concerning her sons condition.
