Walter McGuire, 24, World War veteran, died early Thursday at his home, 523 Fifth av. Dayton, from effects of being gassed during the war.

McGuire, a lifelong resident of Campbell co. leaves his widow, Lucille Ziegler McGuire; two small chidren; his father, George and a sister, Mrs. Dan Reminga, Chicago. The John J Radel Co Newport has charge of the funeral.

A military funeral will be held at 2 pm Saturday for Walter McGuire, 34, World War veteran, who died Thursday at his home, 523 Fifth av. Dayton of the effects of being gassed during the World War. The services will be held at the home of his brother in law, Alexandria pike, Alexandria, by the James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, Newport. Members of Costigan Post will go to the home in a body. The firing squad will hold services at the grave in Alexandria Cemetery.

McGuire served with the 81st Field Artillery during the war.
