Walter Allen Brooks

Walter Brooks, 25, of 2320 Burnet Avenue, maintenance man at the William Powell Valve Co. 3233 Colerain avenue, was killed Saturday when his head came in contact with an electrically charged overhead crane at the plant. He received a charge of 440 volts. Death was believed to have been instantaneous.

The Life Squad under Acting Lt. Howard Zimmerman worked 45 minutes in an unsuccessful effort to revive the victim. Mr. Brooks was believed to have been adjusting a milling machine when the accident occurred. Dr. Ray O Noulsen pronounced him dead.
