Services for Vernon C Searles, 37, veteran of World War II, will be held at the John J Rdel funeral home, Newport, at 2 pm, Tuesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Searles died Friday at the Outwood Ky. Veterans Hospital. His home was at 234 Lewis street, Newport.
He leaves his widow: Ova Searles; two sons, Vernon Jr. and John and two daughters, Bonnie Jean and Shirley Mae, all at home, his mother, Mrs. Sarah Searles, Columbus O. a brother, Ernest, Chicago; and four sisters, Miss Naomi Searles and Mrs. Hattie Cramer, both of Newport and Mrs. R Riggs and Mrs. Linda Cramer, both of Portsmouth O.
