Vernon C Getz, president of the G&F Lumber Co of Dayton, died Saturday at his home at Grandview and O'Fallon avenues, Bellevue. He was 55. The lumber firm was formed in 1920. Mr. Getz was a past commander of James Wallace Cositgan Post, American Legion, Newport and a member of Robert Burns Lodge of Masons, in that city and the Dayton Lions Club.

Services will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday at the Vonderhaar and Stetter funeral home, Newport, for Vernon Getz, president of the G&F Lumber Co. Dayton, who died Saturday at his home, O'Fallon and Grandview avenue, Bellevue. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Getz, a veteran of World War I, was past commander of the James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, Newport. The post will hold special services at 8 pm Monday at the funeral home. The Edward Boers Post No 153 American Legion Auxiliary, Bellevue will also meet at the funeral home at 8 pm Monday, Commander Joe York announced.
