Vernon Cummins, 38, World War II veteran, died of a heart ailment at his home, 330 Washington avenue, Newport, Tuesday night. He was a truck driver for the Kentucky Refrigerating Co. Newport.
He leaves his widow; Helen; two daughters, Verna Mae and Patsy Ruth; three stepsons, Jack Glendon and Ronald Lee Haller; a stepdaughter, Mollie Gale Haller; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Cummins, Cincinnati; a brother, John, Addyston O. and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Hopping, Cincinnati.
Services will be held at 2 pm Friday in the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
