Vern Haigis, 67, of Cold Spring, died at 12:12 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East. He was the retired owner/operator of Dunkin Donuts Bakery on Beechmont Avenue in Cincinnati. Survivors include his wife, Jean Rawe Haigis; a daughter, Nancy Weber of Foster; a son, James Haigis of Carlisle, Pa.; sisters, Betty Ruschman of Cold Spring and Mary Ann Quitter of Silver Grove; brothers, Norbert Haigis of Alexandria, Melvin Haigis, Ronald Haigis and Gary Haigis, all of Cold Spring; and five grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.
