Valentine Boll, 90, of 109 Sixth av. Dayton Ky. one of the few surviving GAR veterans of Campbell co. celebrated his 90th birthday anniversary Thursday at his home. Boll was born in Germany and came to this country when a boy. He was a cavalryman in Company M 45th Regiment of Indiana Volunteers during the Civil War.

He has been a resident of Campbell Co for the last 40 years. Immediate relatives attended a party given in honor of his anniversary. Boll is the father in law of Harry Hake, deputy county clerk and C A Wissell, former mayor of Dayton.

Funeral services for Valentine Boll, 91, Civil War veterans, who died early Monday at the home of Frank Gohs, 109 Sixth av. Dayton will be held Wednesday at the Vonderhaar & Stetter funeral home, Third and Overton streets, Newport, with requiem high mass at St Bernard Church, Dayton, at 9 am.

Mr. Boll had lived at the Gohs home for the past 10 years. He was born in Germany and came to America when a boy and worked for many years as a harness maker and later as a stonemason. He retired 10 years ago. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Conrad Wissel, Dayton and seven grandchildren.

After making several minor bequests Valentine Boll, Dayton, according to terms of his will probated Friday by Judge Conrad G Matz, leaves the residue of his estate to Mr. Francis Gohs, 109 Sixth av. Dayton for her care and attention during his life. Frank Gohs was named executor.
