St Johns United Church of Christ Deaths

Park & Nelson in Newport

1915-1918

Transcribed and submitted by Carol Sanman June 7, 2012

From the original records on microfilm #1550342 at the Northern Kentucky Family History Center at 144 Buttermilk Pike in Lakeside Park. This Church was originally St John’s German Evangelical Church.

These records were in German. The old Germanic writing is difficult to read at times. Any transcriptions errors are mine. I have transcribed what I can decipher. Please view the originals or verify with other sources. There are a few records that have faded so much that they are illegible. Note: Many are buried at Evergreen Cemetery. On some entries, there is a notation that they were put in the vault some time before burial. It usually means that they couldn’t be buried immediately-sometimes due to weather or frozen ground. Maybe even inability to pay for burial.

Note: sometimes the cause of death the minister listed conflicted with what the cemetery or Kentucky death certificate had. Remember that he was not a medical person.
