The family of the late Charles White, of Boone Street, Newport, is having its share of troubles. Saturday another case was added to the list of misfortunes, when Tom, 17, caught his right hand in a printing press at Zumbell's paper box factory in Cincinnati, mangling that member in a horrible manner.
The hand was amputated at the City Hospital. The father died a month ago and the mother a few weeks later. Two sisters are seriously ill at St Elizabeth Hospital and another is ill at Alexandria Ky.
