NEWPORT

Thomas Taylor, one of the most efficient officers on the police force, was appointed Night Jail guard by Jailer Davis last night, which was acquiesced in by Council to take effect the first of the year.

He qualified and furnished bond with James E McCracken and Wm Hengelbrok as sureties.
