Mrs. Margaret Merrill, widow of Col. Merrill, who for years was a
resident of Newport, and who was for so long identified with Government work in
and about Cincinnati, has gone to visit her son, Capt. Thomas Merrill at his
post near Boston.
Capt. Merrill, who has not been long from the Philippines has recently been promoted in the artillery service.
