Thomas J McNamara

NIGHT BLAST-Had ice filled the two big intake tunnels Supt. Thomas J McNamara says not a gallon of water could have been entered the pumps. A break in gorges holding fast at Anderson Ferry and Cullom Rifle would again cause the tunnels to be exposed by the receding waters, and Supt. McNamara declares he is at a loss to know what course to pursue should the tunnels become clogged. He thinks the only feasible plan would be to blast the ice away with dynamite if operations are interrupted long enough to cause a shortage of water in the reservoir.
