A FORMER CITIZEN OF CAMPBELL COUNTY KILLED IN IOWA
We copy the following account of the death of a former citizen of Campbell County, from the Davenport (Iowa) Gazette of the 14th instant.
"Mr. Thomas McLaughlin, carpenter, of this city, who was hurt last Saturday by falling into a bin of the elevator building at Walcott, died of his injuries yesterday noon. His remains were brought to this city on the four o'clock train and taken to his late residence on Laurel street, near Farnam, from which place the funeral will take place today. Mr. McLaughlin was in the sixty eighth year of his age. He was a native of Campbell County, Kentucky, from which locality he removed to this city some twenty years ago.
He was an industrious, kind hearted citizen and his death will be mourned by a large circle of acquaintances, not only in this city, but in Cincinnati, Covington and Newport, Ky. where he had been engaged in building and lived over fifty years.
