FT MEADE MD-Nov 22-Men who have completed processing at the 2053d Reception Center here are assigned for Army basic training. Men assigned to the 10th Infantry Division, Ft Riley, Kan. include:
Pvt. Thomas J Hart, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J Hart, 640 Linden avenue, Newport, is assigned to the Fifth Armored Division, Camp Chaffee, Ark. He was graduated from Xavier University last June with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He will receive 16 weeks of basic military training. Fundamental military subjects such as close order drill, care of clothing and equipment, first aid, scouting and trolling, and map reading will be taught.
Individual firing of the M-I rifle, carbine and light machine gun will be included in the battle indoctrination phase of the training.
