ARTILLERY OFFICER IS
KILLED IN FIGHTING IN ITALIAN AREA
First Lt. Thomas J. Hehman, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Hehman, 62 Villa Pl., Ft. Thomas, was killed in Italy September 22 when serving with the Coast Artillery. Lieutenant Hehman, who had been overseas since April 1943, served with the National Guard until February 1941, when it was taken into the regular army.
Before going on active duty, Lieutenant Hehman was employed at the Kingham Trailer Sales Co., 3253 Spring Grove Ave., Cincinnati.
Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Corp. William Hehman, with the Army Signal Corps on Guadalcanal; and four sisters, Mrs. J.H. King, Mansfield, O.; Mrs. Fred J. Fischer, Chicago; and Mrs. D.R. McCurdy and Mrs. Stanley A. Newlin, both of Forth Thomas.
