PROMINENT CITIZEN
Thomas H Harvey, 73, died yesterday after a short illness at his
home, 1045 Columbia st. Newport. He was born in Cincinnati, where he resided
until he was appointed Customs Officer at the breaking out of the Civil War,
which position he held until the close of the war, when he removed to Newport.
In 1869 he was made manager of the Frank A Woodmansee Ink & Mucilage Co. which
position he held until his death.
He was a charter member of the old Fifth st. Christian Church and of the Ohio Lodge of Odd Fellows. He is survived by a widow and two sons, Edward G Harvey and Thomas H Harvey Jr. and four daughters, Mrs. George Sloan, Mrs. W T Johnson, Mrs. Dr. Alva Simmons and Miss Carrie Harvey.
The funeral will be held with services at the residence tomorrow at 2 pm. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.

The funeral of Thomas H Harvey, general manager of the Woodmansee Ink and Mucilage Co and well known in Cincinnati and Newport business circles, took place Tuesday afternoon from his late residence, 1045 Columbia st. Newport. A large number of friends attended and many floral offerings were given.
Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery.
