Thomas and Sarah Griffey

Thomas Griffey was born 1763 in Virginia. His wife, Sarah was also born in Virginia in 1765. They came to Campbell County about 1800 settling in Alexandria. He was active in the affairs of the early days of the settlement. Thomas died 23 Dec 1826, and his wife, Sarah died 11 Nov 1835. Both are buried in the old Baptist cemetery on Alexandria Pike.
