SSAFEKEEPING-Thomas Duncan, 40, of 341 East Front Street, Newport, was locked up by the police Thursday night for safe keeping at the request of his wife. About 10 years ago he was a clerk in the railroad office of the L&N and was injured in an accident. Since that time his mind has been deranged. Thursday night he became violent and attacked his wife, who claims she is afraid of him.

FUNERAL-The funeral of Thomas Duncan who died at the Lakeland Asylum, took place Tuesday morning from the Church of the Immaculate Conception. He was hurt by a fall some time ago which later caused his mind to be affected.
