Orphan's Estate Missing
What became of $255.00 that is due Theodore Webber, an orphan boy
who has just become of age, is a question that is puzzling the Campbell Court
officials.
Webber, during 1890 was an inmate of the Campbell County Protestant Orphans Home and John G Loehr, father of ex-Officer Lou Loehr, was his guardian. The latter made a final settlement in open Court before County Judge Hill May 12, 1891. This is shown on the records but that is as far as the matter goes.
The money was turned over to the late Judge Ellis, who was public administrator at that time, but it is not shown if it was paid out and his successors in office, Joe Hengelbrok and W U Warren, the present administrator know nothing of it.
There is no reflection on Judge Ellis and the money may have been paid to some other relative, but there is nothing to show for it. Webber will not lose his money as some one is responsible for it.
