NEWPORT
Theodore Cook, 70 years old, for 30 years with the Dunbar Jewelry
Company, Cincinnati, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William
Layson, at Chattanooga Tenn. The body will arrive today in Newport, where Mr.
Cook resided for 50 years.
Mr. Cook was a veteran of the Civil War and was widely known in Newport and Cincinnati business circles. He was a widower. Three years ago Mr. Cook went to Chattanooga to reside with his daughter.
Four children, Mrs. Layson, Theodore Cook, who is in the Government service at Washington; Mrs. Charles Troy of New Richmond Ohio, and Miss Grace Cook, a trained nurse, living at 407 Forrest street, Newport, survive him.
