Theodore Bertelsman, who is to take office Jan 6 as sheriff of Campbell co. announced Wednesday his staff of deputies. Bertelsman said Albert Howe and Harry Owens, who served as deputies under William Millus, county clerk, and Dr. A W Boltz, who was defeated by Bertelsman in the Republican primary for the sheriff nomination, will act as office deputies.
Oscar B Wells, former federal prohibition agent and Jacob Matz, Monmouth st. fruit dealer, will be the field deputies with Jacob Racke being the Alexandria deputy. Miss Laura Lyons, who also served as a clerk in Milius' office will be a clerk under Bartelsman.
