Theodore Allen and wife of Ft Thomas, were arrested by Chief of Police Deveraus of the Highlands, charged with disorderly conduct. They were locked up in the Newport Jail and will be tried Monday afternoon by Squire W F Arnold. The couple came here a few days ago and Sunday engaged in a fight and the arrest followed.
The authorities believe Allen is wanted in
London Ky. for shooting a man some time ago. He has a scar on his body which he
claims he received while in the revenue service after moon shiners. An
investigation will be made.
