BIG SUGAR CAMP, CAMPBELL COUNTY-There is talk of surveying a road from the mouth of Plum creek up the river bottom, to the Demossville ferry. We hope it will be done as we are at a great inconvenience about shipping farm products. And probably the increase of freight would induce the K C Railroad to build a more substantial depot at Demossville. The one they have is pretty badly dilapidated.
Prof Wm McNeale will give a series of lessons
in vocal music at this place.
J K P & W H Daniels have purchased and divided the old Daniels homestead.
Apollis Daniels is building a new dwelling house.
T J Cain is building a new house near the mouth of Plum creek.
George M Lane, of Dresden Ohio, is visiting his brother M F Lane.
One day last week, Bill Norris went to Demossville and came back with more than his share of "Carmacks Liniment."
Despite the dry weather our old mill has struggled through and kept its many patrons in corn meal. Hog cholera about all gone. So are the hogs.
The hunters from the cities have killed a great many rabbits and quails. The former we care nothing for but the latter are too useful to let them go with a free good will. Otherwise the sportsmen have done no damage.
